Welcome to Nantwich & Border Counties Sailing Club

Seamanship Skills Course

Steve Lewis and I are running the RYA Seamanship Skills course over the weekend of 24th and 25th November.  It will take place at the club and will start at 9:00am and finish by5:00pm on both days.  This is a practical dinghy sailing course, with lots of exercises on the water, that will teach boat handling skills in all circumstances and how to solve problems afloat (follow this link for the syllabus

The course is being run primarily for a number of members who are working towards becoming dinghy sailing Assistant Instructors (“AI”), but there are some spaces available for other members of the club to join the course.

As most of the Club GPs will be used by the AI candidates, you will need to have your own double-handed boat (there may be one or two club boats available, but they will be allocated on a ‘first come first served’ basis).

The fee is £20 each for adults and £10 for juniors.

The number of places available is limited, so if you are interested please contact me by Email at as soon as possible.

Set in an area of great natural beauty in the Doddington Estate, Cheshire, we are a local friendly, family club. You can learn to sail or gain a powerboat qualification with our nationally qualified instructors.

We have an active Junior Club, Taster Sessions and safety boat cover for members on Saturdays and Wednesday Evenings and Public Holidays.

There is a well attended Ladies Group who sail on Thursday evenings with a meal afterwards.

We have a full racing program with Fleet and Handicap racing from March to December on Sundays and Wednesday evenings.

Feel free to contact or visit us.
