Working parties are a means of keeping the club buildings, grounds and water in a good state of repair and they also keep running costs down with the one added bonus to meet other club members and pick up tips on boat maintenance and sailing skills. The sessions usually last for half a day from 9am to 13.00 pm
A working party levy of £24 is included in the Family and Single Member’s subscription; this may be reclaimed against the following year’s subscription by attending any two of the five working party dates (£12 per working party next year). If you are unable to attend any of the set down working parties, then there are many other jobs that can be undertaken at any time to suit individual members and would still qualify for a refund. For more information contact me, Dave Edwards tel: 01782 751517
Helping with the Sailing Training will count has 1 for the £12 levy refund so if you could find extra time to assist in any way on the training days then contact the Training Officer Steve Lewis tel: 07836379856
This year we need to spring clean and tidy the Club House. Inside and outside needs painting together with the other buildings so bring whatever equipment and ability you possess and give it a go, you will be most welcome. We also need to improve the entrance by setting the gate further into the field thus avoiding having to walk across the cattle grid. It will also improve the road safety. The jetties need cleaning and new buoyancy provided. The Boat Park and Island also need tidying. For those with special skills your expertise will be very much appreciated if you could again let me know and I can put those skills to good use.
You can plan your days you wish to attend from the list of dates in 2017
Sat.25th.Febuary – Sat.4th.March – Sat.29th.April – SAT.15th.July – Sat.26th.AUGUST
Any additional help you can give at any other working party or day will be much appreciated. Looking forward to a big turn out to all the working parties
I am looking forward to the new sailing season and the preparation can only be achieved with your help.
