Captains Day

Captains Day kicks off in

captains day

On May 27th we will be holding “Captains Day” at the club. There will be various activities planned during the day to help you get the best out of your rig, introduce you to racing and also help you with any problems you may have with your boat, repairs, setup issues  , tuning. There will also be a chance to learn more about what sailing activities exist both at our club and other clubs in the North West.

I am assembling a team of club experts who have knowledge of all the classes of boats that sail on our water both single and double handed dinghies , they will be available to help coach and encourage you.

The BBQ will be going with sausages and burgers available plus a vegetarian option and as well as information and coaching being on offer there will be a series of 3 races organised for both adults and juniors during the afternoon, races will be held on a triangular course with instruction on how to be competitive given for those who would like it.

The emphasis will be on fun and getting the most out of your sailing, the hope is that some members may even be enticed to give our Sunday racing program a go once they have seen how much fun racing is.

I will send out more information nearer the date but wanted to give you all a heads up so you can book the date in your calendars , after the races we will have prize giving with prizes awarded to Juniors, New Helms, Youngest entrant, most races sailed, participation being the major focus.

It would be great to see you there it will a fun and informative day.

Best Regards
